My Story (Why I joined ProjectMT or What I hope to achieve):  After having my daughter Kenedie two years ago, I have struggled with losing weight and staying consistent with my workout program.  My goal is to live a healthy life style and look great while doing so.

It’s important to me to be a role model for my daughter when it comes to being healthy.  I see too many girls these days caught up in the “skinny” look and not understanding the consequences.  It’s definitely all about the knowledge and knowing how to approach living fit the right way.

Having competed in 2003 at the Colorado State Show, I know what it takes to be in excellent shape. It’s time to let go of the excuses that prohibit me from moving forward. No more excuses!! I’m working on achieving weight loss and gaining great muscle tone! I’m not sold on competing again, but you never know. Stay tuned!

Foods craved while pregnant: What didn’t I crave! I loved to eat Paradise Bakery chocolate chip cookies. Delicious!! Of course I craved fast food, but I didn’t get too carried away. Believe it or not, I did crave fruits and vegetables.
Weight gained while pregnant:  My doctor wanted me to gain 35 lbs., and I almost fell out of my chair. I gained 40 lbs., and two weeks before I had my daughter I lost 6 lbs. My weight gain came in at 34 lbs. I was happy with that. It was difficult but I tried not to get so consumed with the weight gain. All I wanted was a healthy baby.

My Story (Why I joined Project MT or What I hope to achieve):
After 7 years of marriage and 2 children I no longer have the cute figure I had when I met my husband at 19. I spend the majority of my time taking care of someone else and now I am ready to do something for myself and get that cute figure back. My husband and I also have a strong desire to raise our children with healthy eating habits and a healthy body image and we know that this will start with us as parents setting a good example.
